These are my feedback sheets from the crit. Glad to see some suggestions on what works and what doesn't and the feedback was appropriate to the questions asked.

General comments
Problem Analysis
All work fits in nicely within context, target audiences clearly evident within designs.
Elements of context feeding into design direction.

Contextual Understanding
Almost perfect, blog full.
Relates to practice and on going briefs in a logical way

Design Development
Loads of mock ups, test pieces, design directions are clear.
Decisions quite narrow, perhaps broaden resolved ideas and take initial concepts further.
All is relevant to statement of intent
Arkitekt - think about format of the covers. They all need to work on similar format to gain coherency. (if logo changes on each it isn't going to be recognisable). Tighten up on the structure and do more of it.

Questions from me
For the Element brief - should I change the brief to develop the typeface and promote it appose to doing the t-shirts and the promo around that?

Stick with the t-shirts and expand the range of deliverables to swing tags, bags, packaging, in store promo, prints, labels, and a small zine. No need to develop a new typeface unless you want too for the purposes of promotion.

Keep looking at ways to expand the brief and its deliverables.

We love the colour combinations on the blog with the shades of green appose to the ones you have presented here.

For the Late Music Brief - What is working and what isn't? opinions on colour combinations?

The cream stock works, but the darker doesn't. The uncoated off-white card also works well. Consider something with a little texture to achieve a sense of quality without overspending on print finishes?(A selection of stocks were selected as the ones that were working together)Also narrow down the stocks you are using and the colours. four colours seems too many at the moment.

Does the work I have presented fit in with what I am looking at in the context section? can you see the links between the two blogs?

Some great contextual research that goes beyond the format you are designing for. Strong links between the practice and context, and wasn't sure if some of the work on the context was yours. Make sure you keep referring back to it all the time as it is building up nicely.

For the Late Music brief - Should I continue to experiment with print processes and different stocks?

The print finishes are working well but don't get too involved with that, as it is impractical and think that less is more. You have to think about budget if this is a live brief. Is Diecutting and embossing the most cost effective for a small event like this.
