I wanted to get straight on to creating the identity for panamax as this would become a major part of the project and would define the design direction for the packaging and other material. I started by collecting some of the typefaces I had looked at in my research and also some others that I felt would work.
I sketched them on out on paper and narrowed my focus towards a small number of typefaces. To make the identity unique I wanted to customise the typeface I used in a similar way to Darren Firth (www.keepsmesane.co.uk), whom I posted about during my research. I printed out the typefaces and begin manipulating them before going back to the computer.
In the end I completely changed the look of one typeface and was happy with the final outcome. I separated the 'x' to become two arrows which symbolise the drug effectively targeting pain. This will be presented in my crit to gather some feedback. The colours are not final either.
