I decided to look back over the briefs that I had picked out at the start of the second part of this module. The 'Panamax' brief really appealed to me, as did the 'Channel x' brief from the ISTD 2010 competition briefs. I used these as a guide to write out one final statement of intent that was more focussed towards these existing briefs rather than one I had plucked from obscurity.
This statement of intent takes the best of both briefs and I intend to write a brief with rebranding in mind. The statement outlines my desire to focus more on type and layout as well. I intend to create a range of logos for Panamax which will be distributed in suitable and appropriate packaging.
This statement allows me to write a brief that is of interest to me but has a clear source of where it came from, as appose to the ones before which did not attach themselves to any brief.
Here is the brief I have written. It does make much more sense now, although I will have to get the go ahead from tutors before I start to delve deeper.
