New Arkitekt magazine covers

In light of my tutorial, there was points raised that could enable me to take the briefs I have further than I intended too. For this brief, it was suggested that I design 12 editions of the Arkitekt magazine for the next 12 months as well as design spreads from them. Although I had reservations in terms of how the content would be selected, I came to the conclusion that the content was not the focus and imagery would be selected for aesthetics rather than accuracy. I still need to source the imagery and perhaps collaborate with the photography student to get the images I need.

In the meantime, I have sketch some new layouts for the covers, with a tweaked identity. I also decided to mock up some of the layouts digitally to see what worked.


































































The initial sketches. These were created with the intention of having a different composition with each cover. However, if I find a composition that works particularly well then I could run that across the series for the year.
