The fifth installment started with the task of creating this leaflet. I started out and designed this which I liked initially but still didn't cut it when it came to understanding type and layout. The text on the 'allotments' article was deemed unreadable, and the alignment was a little off.

The next task was to create a one and two column a4 layout that people would have wanted to read. This was all about choice of typeface, point size, leading as well as page layout options such as margins and gutter widths. I came to the conclusion that you have to maximize the amount of white space to interest people. Also serif typefaces are designed for large amounts of copy.
