New Module: Design for Digital Media

With the start of the new module, I completed a task to get me thinking visually for digital output. This meant coming up with ideas that would be visually engaging on for screen based design, whether it be, on the internet, on a dvd, or part of interact digital interface.

Three words I chose to be represented in this format were 'open', absorb and drag. I quickly sketched some static imagery to show the word being represented in a visual way inside one frame. The word was communicated but to fully exploit the potential of design for digital media, I needed to explore ideas where the type can move around, rotate, zoom, etc.

The examples shown here are my static representations combined with the development work I did prior to deciding on a final idea.

After this, I could then move onto animating these words to make the communication to the intended audience much more effective.
