Storyboarding - Time and Pace

During this workshop myself and two other group members selected a kinetic typography video via youtube. This video would be used as analysis of a sort amount of footage. The first analysis in as shown in the first image was a 30 second timeline mapped out using visuals and dialogue. We took screen grabs every 2 seconds and also screen grabbed the key frames, as well as noting down the dialogue within the video.

The next step was to take what we had and simplify the timeline to 5 seconds. This meant we could carry out a more in depth and more accurate analysis of a shorter amount of footage. For this we just concentrated on key frames and dialogue.

Time lining in this way has helped me understand pace and time in relation to the work I am doing for the silent movie brief.
