Brief Title
The Premier League’s Top Ten Footballers of the Last Decade
Subject & Rationale
I aim to create a 30 – 50 second title sequence for a Sky One programme revealing the Premierships top ten footballers of the last decade. The target audience for the programme will be avid football fans between the ages of 16 – 30 years, including armchair fans and active fans who go to games regularly.
The tone of voice will be serious, but not overbearing, and will portray the passion of the game and the importance of those who play it. It will feature some but not all of the players featured in the list, as to not reveal the top ten before the programme begins.
I have chosen Sky One to show my title sequence because of the viewership the channel holds currently. The channel dedicates a reasonable amount of time to sports programmes as well as top ten programmes based on TV and celebrities.
Design Directions
I have clear idea of how I want the sequence to look based on the visual research I have. The title sequence will focus around a virtual sticker album/trading card set featuring players in the list.
The colour palette for the sequence will be based on the premier league official colours but will also make use of other colours to tie in with the archetypal colours associated with football. (Blue, Red, Green, white)
Each trading/sticker will feature a player image and vectorised element implemented around them.
