One thing I should have sorted by this point and I hope to clarify in this post is the content of my 16 page document. The basis of my publication will be defined through print processes and colour, which has formed most of the seminars and workshops up to date. All that new knowledge will feature alongside my further research to make an informative piece that shows I can use the processes and that I know what I am talking about.
I don't think it is enough to just talk about them in uniform way without some stock, and colour experimentation but I realise I am limited and can't use things like foil blocking and spot UV inks, etc. I can include as part of my pdf files though because it will be viewed on screen. For stock limitations I may scan in stock if I need to show how the ink would work with a stock other than a bright white.
The content for my publication is as follows:
Colour - CMYK and RGB | Pantone & Spot colour | Mono tone, Duo tone, Tri tone, Quad tone | Colour half tone | Overprinting, Trapping | Tints, Gradients
Processes - Lithography | Screen Printing | Digital Printing | Flexography | Rotogravure |
Stock - Coated, Uncoated | Specialist
Finishing - Foil blocking, Cutting, Embossing, Laminates and Varnishes
I hope I have covered everything in that.
